Moore County School's Backpack Pals Program
|
GIVE HUNGRY KIDS A TASTE OF YOUR GENEROSITY!
Hundreds of kids eat lunch at 11 on Friday and won’t eat again until school breakfast on Monday, that's why we're helping the "Backpack Pals" program to send those kids home with lots of food. Every Friday these hungry children are given a "Backpack" filled with all kinds of yummy treats to get them through the weekend.
At Muirfield Broadcasting we've decided to help them by becoming a drop-off point for food items and cash donations. You can stop by anytime Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:30PM with any "ready to eat" food item you think a child might want.
We're asking for plenty of miniature boxes of cereal, individual pudding, pop top frank and beans & miniature boxes of raisins.
We will also accept monetary donations during regular business hours in the form of a check made payable to "Backpack Pals".
Other Drop-off locations include: The Pilot Newspaper, Woodlake Gate House, First National Bank at 15/501 and Pinehurst Avenue.
